Crescent Announces Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House as Flagship Restaurant for New McKinney & Olive in Dallas’ Uptown

Crescent Announces Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House as Flagship Restaurant for New McKinney & Olive in Dallas’ Uptown

DALLAS (Oct. 30, 2014) – Crescent Real Estate Holdings LLC today announced that award-winning Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House will be the flagship restaurant coming to McKinney & Olive, Crescent’s newest development in Dallas’ Uptown. The fine-dining restaurant will be located at the main entrance on McKinney Avenue and will occupy approximately 13,000 square feet on the ground-level and second floors, overlooking the tower’s lushly landscaped 1-acre park. Jack Gosnell and Jack Breard of UCR Urban represented the owner while Kevin McIntosh of KMAC Group, Inc. represented Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group, Inc.

“Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House is the perfect fit for McKinney & Olive because it has a stellar reputation, amazing service and terrific food,” said John Zogg, managing director for Crescent Real Estate Equities, LLC. “This beautiful flagship restaurant – featuring a two-story design with spacious patios, huge glass windows and a balcony overlooking the plaza – will be in keeping with Uptown’s energetic, pedestrian-friendly vibe.”

Today’s announcement coincides with Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group’s plans to relocate its North Dallas restaurant to McKinney & Olive in 2016. Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House on Spring Valley will remain open proudly serving customers, as it has done for 20 years, until the move to Uptown is completed.

At the McKinney & Olive location, guests can expect to enjoy the same rich heritage and tradition of Del Frisco’s high-quality steaks and fresh seafood along with warm, genuine hospitality and excellent service.

USDA prime steaks and fresh seafood created by Star Chef David Holben will be on the menu, accompanied by an extensive, award-winning wine list and decadent sides and desserts like Lobster Mac & Cheese and the Lemon Doberge Cake.

Beyond the sweeping views of Uptown and Downtown Dallas, the exceptional culinary experience will be enhanced by McKinney & Olive’s lavishly adorned piazza and gathering space – filled with umbrella-covered tables, park benches, water features and more. The park and surrounding grounds are designed by acclaimed landscape architect Jim Burnett, who crafted Klyde Warren Park.

“The guests we have served over many years have made it possible to keep growing and expanding the brand today. The move from North Dallas to Uptown for the Double Eagle is all about evolving the brand and showcasing more options and modern amenities while still sticking to the concept’s rich heritage and tradition,” said Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group CEO Mark S. Mednansky. “Whether it’s a business meeting, night on the town or just grabbing a quick bite to eat, Double Eagle at McKinney & Olive will be the go-to spot offering a contemporary, see-and-be-seen atmosphere.”

Slated to open in 2016, McKinney & Olive is a one-of-a-kind, Class-A office tower offering world-class architecture by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, plus premier office space and unrivaled visibility in the vibrant pedestrian-oriented Uptown Dallas neighborhood. McKinney & Olive will be the first commercial building in Dallas to be designed by an internationally acclaimed architect since the 1980s. Located on a 3.1-acre site, the 20-story structure is juxtaposed amid the grandeur of the neighboring Ritz-Carlton and The Crescent® and just blocks from downtown’s Dallas Arts District and Klyde Warren Park.

With 530,000 square feet, McKinney & Olive will have 480,000 square feet of rentable office space and 50,000 square feet of retail space. In addition to Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House, Crescent will announce other restaurants and a coffee hub that will offer dining at various price points.

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House is owned by Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group (NASDAQ: DFRG), which is based in Southlake, Texas. For more information, please visit delfriscos.com
