Dallas Business Journal names it “best mixed-use development deal — urban” and D CEO presents its “new office development” award to Cesar Pelli-designed “sexy” structure
DALLAS (April 16, 2015) – In an incredibly robust year when new buildings are being constructed all over North Texas, Crescent Real Estate’s McKinney & Olive development has been singled out to win two prestigious awards – D CEO magazine’s “New Office Development” award and Dallas Business Journal’s “best mixed-use development deal — urban.” Also, John Goff, chairman and chief executive officer of Crescent Real Estate Equities, LLC, was honored as a finalist for D CEO’s “Real Estate Executive of the Year” award.

Crescent Real Estate’s McKinney & Olive is a one-of-a-kind structure designed by world-renowned architect Cesar Pelli and his firm Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects. The development is Pelli’s first project in Dallas and the first commercial building in Dallas designed by an internationally acclaimed architect since the 1980s.
The quality and design of McKinney & Olive will be unlike any other building in Dallas. The 20-story structure will be the tallest building in Uptown proper, making it visible day and night from Downtown Dallas, Klyde Warren Park, Woodall Rodgers Freeway and Victory Park. In addition to the unique, sculptural design of the 530,000 square-foot building, McKinney & Olive will feature 10-foot ceilings, ultra-efficient floor plates, state-of-the-art security, destination elevators, an outdoor landscaped garden on the fifth floor, a fitness center designed by Canyon Ranch and a conference center.
In an effort to serve both customers and the community, 50,000 square feet of McKinney & Olive is dedicated to ground-floor retail, including its flagship restaurant Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse. Burnett – the landscape architect for Klyde Warren Park, The Ritz Carlton, and the upcoming exterior renovations to The Crescent® -- has created a welcoming outdoor space adorned with mature shade trees available to both customers and the community, further supporting Dallas’ vision to increase parks and public spaces in urban areas.
McKinney & Olive already has signed law firms Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP and Sidley Austin LLP and a premier consulting firm. In line with Crescent’s continued commitment to sustainable design, McKinney & Olive is expected to carry the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Gold certification upon completion.
